Voter FAQ

Do I have to register by party?

No. Tennessee voters do not register by party. During primary elections, you'll be asked to select which party's ballot you wish to vote on. Choosing a party ballot does not make you a registered member of that party. In general elections, all candidates appear on a single ballot.

Can I vote absentee?

Yes. You may vote absentee by requesting a ballot through the state's website.
